Public art commission
San Jose, CA
Located adjacent to the Guadalupe River, this plaza includes seating elements, special paving, and a long "history wall". Historical images and text are engraved on stainless steel panels that are supported by a structural wall, which has an opening that frames views of the riparian environment beyond. Reflecting the theme of confluence, the wall explores the confluence of technology and history, culture and nature, and the peoples who represent the multicultural diversity of the city. As associate designer, I worked on the project while employed with the firm R|H|A|A.
