Circles of a Ripple
Hacienda Heights, CA
Client: LA County Arts Commission
Located within the open-space of a new community center in Hacienda Heights, the artwork comprises a crescent-shaped landform that was constructed from stockpiled earth (excavated for the building foundation) and planted with native grasses. Within this circular space are three Calif. native Sycamore trees and three 28-feet-long concrete benches that showcase colorful porcelain enamel panels, whose photographic images interpret the natural and man-made history of the region.
